Our second tournament day of 2011 was the annually held Dutch Open tournament. On May 29th fourteen teams competed in an x-ball lite (race-to-two) format for the first prize. Besides twelve Dutch teams the London Tigers made the trip from England to participate in this tournament with two teams. With the captains meeting at 8:15 and a two hour drive to PBXS this once again meant a very early start of the day, oh well what else is new.
To fill up the winter we decided to participate in the BPC Winter Series. The BPC is held in the indoor facility of Area23 in Eeklo, Belgium. It has a 5mann round robin structure. With some new and inexperienced players on the roster this was a perfect opportunity for us to test out some things and give the new players some tourney experience.
Temperature outside: 6 degrees Celsius. Winter! Referred to by paintballers as the off-season. Not for us but that’s for another article. Time to look back at our first season of competition paintball in the NPL (Dutch Paintball League).
